Alex is a business lawyer whose practice focuses primarily on corporate-commercial work in highly regulated industries. She takes a practical, result-driven approach to legal issues and is adept at finding creative legal solutions. A former criminal defence lawyer, Alex developed strong advocacy skills while working on a variety of complex domestic and international cases often involving indictable offences and constitutional rights. She regularly advises business on regulatory compliance, licencing applications, marketing, promotion, commercial transactions and corporate structuring.
Alex began her career as a public servant, working for the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories. She also has experience working for international NGOs, such as the United Nations Relief Works Agency in Jordan. Outside of the practice of law, she enjoys travelling and reading fiction, preferably at the same time.
